Daniel and Rossella created a piece of paradise in the Madonie mountains in Sicily, and we are so happy that we could spend a week there. The atmosphere of the place is unique, very beautiful, very laid back, very in line with nature. And thus perfectly reflecting the personalities of Daniel and Rossella, who really are wonderful and caring hosts. I strongly recommend if peace and quiet and sun and amazing sunsets and sea and beaches and mountains and forests and charming villages and good food and lovely hosts are what you are looking for. We were happy to stay a whole week at this beautiful place, our first holiday with a 6 month old baby. The view is so beautiful and relaxing, the garden is lovely and there are very nice villages around with great food! At the end of april we were lucky to see honeybuzzards and bee eaters migrating from Africa to Europe from the terrace. Rossella has great tips written down and we could always contact her, so it felt like she was very close! Thank you for sharing this amazing place!

Rossellas House is placed in the most beautifull sorrundings with a stunning view - we haven’t seen a house like that before. However, we arrived with a baby of 9 months in the beginning of April so there wasn’t that much to do up there and it took around 30 minutes to get to Cefalu which were the closest city where you could spend a whole day. Also we had some problems driving up there with the Renualt Captur we rented. Before renting the house and car we did see the description of the location and the road leading to the house but we had underestimated how difficult it was for us to get up there - maybe due to our driving skills but we are both experienced drivers (we live in a city but have been driving in the mountains many times). Because of that we left the house 6 days prior to our planned departure day. That said, we would still recommend this beautiful house for a couple or with a bigger child. The house was well equipped and was nice and clean - and host had provided some nice local food and specialties upon arrival.

This place is a diamond. Sitting at the terrace you start looking for the cameras because it feels like you are in a movie. When we were there we were unlucky with the weather so we couldn't take full advantage of what it has to offer. All places are bad in bad weather but since your "living room" is the outside here, we would recommend taking an extra look at the forecast before going :)

Dear travellers, As we want to protect this precious area and not to spoil everyone with this hidden secret, we can’t deny that this is a place you should not leave behind. Only go when you will take care of this beautiful place, it’s a holy temple. You will find yourself again through good and bad emotions, it’s a spiritual experience within nature, created by the two hosts.

Daniel and Rossella are the best hosts you can imagine, we were blessed to meet them. You have access to an area completely to yourself. Further, 15minutes from the beach, going off the mountain. It’s 25minutes from Cefalu, it’s one hour 30 to Palermo, 10min to Finale, 25min to Castelbuono,…You can go any place you want and yet, hidden from everything! Also, use Trenitalia for trains, they are the best and kind of cheap. You do need a car to get here, ask the hosts where to get it, they know the best service! Peace and love my travelers

Casa Rango will be the highlight of your trip: The view is even more incredible than the photos, if you can believe it. The room is lovely, the bed is comfortable, and Rossella and Daniel are generous, friendly people. Every morning, they made me breakfast fit for a queen (soft peaches cubed with pistachio and fresh mint, local ricotta and cookies, bread, hot tea or coffee, pear juice, bread, and an omelet, if I wanted one) and sometimes invited me to share dinner as well. You could also stay an entire summer and not run out of things to do. There are many beautiful hikes, charming towns to explore, beaches to lie on. And the views! My goodness. The first drive up the hill to their place is a doozy, but Rossella’s instructions are great. And it really is easier after that.

Staying at Casa Rango is a magical experience. Words can't describe how beautiful this place is – the rustic elegance of the house with all its tasteful little details, the enchanting Sicilian garden full of oleander, olive and fruit trees, the little spots around the property where you can lay down on sunbeds or in the hammock, enjoying the breathtaking view over the sea. Rossella and Daniele are the most caring, kind and generous hosts we've ever met. We came during the b&b season, which is when you share the grounds and kitchen with them. Every morning they made an incredible breakfast for us, with homemade jams, local ricotta, fresh fruits from the garden. Often we hung out longer to chat with them and have another coffee. At the same time we found the privacy and quiet we had been looking for. Rossella and Daniele gave us fantastic recommendations for everything, where to park, where to swim, how to get to Palermo, and sent us to some of the best restaurants we've eaten at in Italy! An original Airbnb experience, by far the best we've ever had. 10 Stars! We hope to be back one day.

Das Haus bei Rossella war wunderschön. Mit großem Garten, sehr schönem Ausblick auf das Meer einer Hängematte, Schaukel und Liegen. Auf der Terrasse stand auch ein Tisch, wo man morgens super frühstücken und den Ausblick genießen kann. In dem Schlafzimmer gab es eine Klimaanlage und Ventilator, die man je nach Wunsch benutzen konnte. Im Badezimmer war auch alles vorhanden: Shampoo, Duschgel, Föhn, Pflaster, Badetücher... In der Küche hatte man eine Spülmaschine, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, grossem Tisch und zum Kochen alles was man so braucht. Als wir angekommen sind hat uns Rossella selbstgemachte Marmelade, Spagetti und Tomatensauce hingestellt, was wirklich super lieb war. Fazit: einfach weiterzuempfehlen.

My husband and I have just spent a magical week at Casa Rango! The house is set in the most perfect location, perched up in the mountains with an incredible view on the sea. We loved the fact that most of our time was spent outdoors here (apart from the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen), which meant that we were constantly emerged in the beautiful natural surroundings. It was such a relaxing place to be after spending the day down at the beach or visiting surrounding towns. The house itself is very well equipped, with all basic amenities provided (including air conditioning in the bedroom). It is also very comfortable, with several different outdoor areas set up to enjoy the view! Our favourite thing to do while we were there was to sit out and soak up the sunset with a nice aperitivo! We are also extremely grateful to Rossella and Daniel for all of the information they provided us with, whether it was on finding and getting to the house safely and easily, what to do / where to eat locally, or even recycling and rubbish bins (which is not always easy in Italy!). They made sure that we felt fully comfortable and at home from the get go, and communication was always very quick and simple. All in all, we would highly recommend Casa Rango for your trip to Sicily. It's the perfect place to put your feet up and soak in all of the wonderful things the area has to offer! We can't wait to come back :)

Staying here is a dream!! We could’ve spend all our days around the house, it’s so peaceful and beautiful. Rossella made sure we felt absolutely at home. There are lovely beaches nearby and definitely visit Pollina for the best cookies and spectacular views. Although the best sunsets we’ve seen were from the garden of Rossella. Wir hatten eine traumhafte Woche auf Sizilien in der Casa Rango. Wer abschalten und dem Trubel entfliehen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Das Haus besticht mit seinem traumhaften Blick und selbst im Oktober war ein Frühstück auf der herrlichen Terrasse möglich. Rossellas Informationen rund um das Haus und die Anreise waren sehr detailliert und sie stand jederzeit per Handy zur Verfügung (wir hatten einen kurzen Stromausfall). Alles in allem eine wunderschöne Woche in einer tollen Unterkunft, wir würden uns jedoch beim nächsten Mal für ein Allrad-Mietwagen entscheiden und nicht mehr für einen Fiat Panda. Zwar hatte unser Wagen auch etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit, die Anreise in der Nacht war jedoch alles andere als einfach. Google Maps lotst bei Eingabe der Koordinaten auf einen unbefestigten Weg, unser Fiat hätte sich um ein Haar festgefahren. Nach kurzer Verwirrung haben wir dann jedoch den richtigen Weg gefunden, würden ihn jedoch nur sicheren Autofahrern bei Tageslicht empfehlen. Die Fahrten zum Einkaufen waren trotz allem immer ein kleines Abenteuer. Vielen Dank für die unvergesslichen Tage und die tolle Gastfreundschaft, Jana und Valentin

Rossella & Daniel sont des super hotes ! Ils sont a l’écoute et toujours prêt a vous aider. La maison est située sur les hauteurs et offre une vue panoramique entre ciel et terre. C’est un tableau à couper le souffle chaque jour. Il faut avouer que l’emplacement de la maison est un peu difficile d’accès sur les 6km car il n’y a pas de route mais une fois arrivé. On oublie tout et on savoure la vue !

The only thing to note is that the house is not very conveniently located - there is fairly difficult access by road. A piece of dream land surrounded by olives, fig trees and flowers - a truely magical place! The view is breathtaking and we could have spent hours strolling through the lush garden just to watch the ocean from different angles. Rosella and Daniel are just wonderful! A casa di Rossella e Daniel abbiamo trascorso giorni indimenticabili! Ti sembra di stare in un posto incantato, unico, da dove dalla grande veranda si abbraccia la bellezza incontaminata del bosco e degli ombreggianti ulivi fin giù al mare dai colori cangianti dal blu all’azzurro ed al verde smeraldo. L’acqua è di una trasparenza cristallina e la spiaggia di sassolini come lenticchie e finissima sabbia è incastonata in un suggestivo anfiteatro naturale di rocce dorate. Si raggiunge in auto in pochi minuti. Stando sdraiati ed osservare da una posizione privilegiata tanta bellezza ti dà la sensazione di vivere dentro un quadro di Monet ! La casa da subito ci ha affascinato nella sua ricercata semplicità e traspare tutto l’amore che Rossella e Daniel hanno messo nel realizzarla riuscendo a conservarla poi perfettamente bene negli anni. Poi l’accoglienza e le attenzioni ricevute hanno contribuito a rendere ancor più speciale la nostra permanenza. Penso proprio che ci rivedremo presto!

Après un an de préparatifs de mariage il nous fallait un petit paradis ou se reposer et nous l’avons trouvé chez Rosella et Daniel. La maison est superbe, la chambre à la fois grande et cosy avec une vue sur un des nombreux oliviers, la grande et belle cuisine où nous avons pu cuisiner confortablement, et bien évidemment les sublimes extérieurs et cette vue qui n’a pas de prix. Mais la cerise sur le gâteau c’est la gentillesse et la bienveillance de nos hôtes. En 3 jours nous nous sommes ressourcés comme rarement. Encore merci de nous avoir permis de profiter de ce petit coin de paradis.

Casa Rango di Rossella e Daniel è un angolo di paradiso, tutto da scoprire. Giorno dopo giorno. Lo consigliamo vivamente a chi desideri una vacanza in pieno contatto con la natura, in serenità e silenzio. L’amore che Rossella e Daniel hanno dedicato per creare questo nido con vista mare è palpabile, vi avvolgerà e vi farà sentire subito a casa. Raggiungere la casa è una piccola avventura. Non fatevi scoraggiare dalla strada sterrata, anzi tenete gli occhi ben aperti, potrete avere magici incontri: noi abbiamo avuto la fortuna di vedere un istrice :)) Seguite anche i consigli dei ristoranti proposti, sono tutti ottimi. La posizione della casa è molto comoda per esplorare i dintorni, belli e meritevoli di gite quotidiane. Anche se la tentazione di rimanere semplicemente solo seduti ad ammirare il panorama dalla terrazza della Casa Rango è davvero grande!

Un vrai Paradis ! Une vue époustouflante, un calme absolu, une maison bien conçue et joliment décorée, une terrasse magnifique et un beau jardin parfaitement entretenu. Nichée dans les collines et en harmonie avec la nature, on ressent tout l’amour que Rossella et Daniel ont mis dans leur maison. Merci à eux de nous faire partager cet endroit magique. Si l’on recherche le silence et la détente, il n’y a pas de meilleure adresse. On n’a même pas envie de partir en excursion, tellement l’endroit est attachant. Nous espérons revenir un jour… Communication parfaite et très réactive avec Rossella. Beaucoup d’informations utiles sur la région. Chemin d’accès assez mauvais : voiture adaptée nécessaire.

Viele durchdachte und angenehme Details, vom elektrischen Tor bis zur Außenbeleuchtung in den Bäumen. Wer gern kocht, pflückt im Garten nicht nur die Zitronen vom Baum, sondern findet reichlich Gemüse & Kräuter. Rosella haben wir nicht persönlich kennengelernt, da wir im Oktober dort waren. Dafür waren wir wirklich absolut ungestört und hatten viel Ruhe dort, die wir uns gewünscht und sehr genossen haben. Die Gastgeberin hat uns jedoch per Mail und Kurznachricht perfekt "betreut" und mit allen Details unterstützt. Der Anfahrtsweg ist etwas abenteuerlich aufgrund der unbefestigten Straße - aber darauf waren wir eingestellt und dazu erhielten wir im Vorfeld eine sehr ausführliche Wegbeschreibung. Wir hatten leider einige Regentage. Daher können wir allerdings sagen, dass das heisse Wasser und die Heizungen absolut gut funktionieren und man sich gemütlich dort "einkuscheln" konnte. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Bilder können nur bedingt wiedergeben, wie schön dieser Ort ist. Das Haus ist ebenso geschmack- wie liebevoll ausgebaut und eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung ist überdurchschnittlich gut: Staubsauger, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Backofen, Küchenutensilien aller Art - hier fehlt es wirklich an absolut gar nichts ...bis auf einen Fernseher, aber wer braucht den schon, bei SO einem Ausblick? Einer unserer Vorgänger schrieb, der Garten sei riesig. Wir sind eher der Meinung, dass der Ausdruck 'Garten' nicht ansatzweise zutreffend ist. Vielmehr handelt es sich um ein weitläufiges Gelände, dessen unteres Ende wir während unseres gesamten Aufenthaltes nie zu Gesicht bekommen haben (zu weit weg, kein Witz). Von den zahlreichen Nutzpflanzen durften wir uns nach Herzenslust bedienen. So gab es schmackhafte Tomaten, Auberginen, Zucchini, Limetten und mehr zu ernten. Lediglich vor den Pepperoni müssen wir dringend warnen. Unsere Pasta Arrabiata mit drei ganzen Schoten wurde zu einer echten Grenzerfahrung. Da unsere Gastgeber nicht (mehr) vor Ort waren, hatten wir all das komplett für uns alleine. Und 'alleine' ist in dem Fall nicht nur so dahin gesagt, denn weit und breit wohnt dort kein Mensch. Ab und an hört man tagsüber in der Nähe ein Auto durchfahren, ansonsten kommt man sich vor wie die ersten Menschen (im Paradies). Womit wir beim einzigen Haken dieser Unterkunft wären: Zwar sind es Luftlinie tatsächlich nur wenige Kilometer bis zum Meer, faktisch braucht man aber - wenn man nicht fährt, wie ein Wahnsinniger - sechs Minuten, bis man den Holperweg hinter sich gelassen hat und sich wieder auf der befestigten Strada Provencale befindet. Bis Pollina, dem nächstgelegenen Ort, sind es dann nochmals ein paar Kilometer, bis runter zur SS 113 fährt man über eine Viertelstunde, bis zur Autobahnauffahrt über 20 Minuten und bis man in Cefalú sein Auto abstellen kann, muss man 35 Minuten Fahrt in Kauf nehmen. Somit sollte man sich bei seinen Einkäufen entsprechend organisieren und diese Zeiten bei Ausflügen unbedingt mit einkalkulieren. Ansonsten waren alle Räume waren sehr sauber, zur Begrüßung standen Pasta, Tomatensoße und Dolci bereit. Mit den ortsansässigen Hornissen, die hauptsächlich abends ausschwärmen, hatten wir uns schnell angefreundet, da diese an unseren Mahlzeiten überhaupt kein Interesse hatten. Lediglich die Mücken waren wirklich eine echte Plage. Ganz wichtig: Lest unbedingt die Anfahrtsbeschreibung durch!!!!! Daher unser Tipp: Beim ersten Besuch am besten tagsüber anfahren. Wir hatten diese irgendwie übersehen (ganz klar unsere Schuld) und da wir erst sehr spät eintrafen, irrten wir stundenlang in völliger Finsternis auf dem Berg herum, fuhren in etliche Sackgassen, in denen unser Auto teilweise stecken blieb, kaum noch zu wenden war und waren echt kurz vorm Verzweifeln, weil man 'Casa Rango' nie und nimmer findet, wenn man den Weg nicht kennt. Rosella war sehr hilfsbereit und navigierte uns via Telefon ans Ziel, was auf Grund des teilweise schlechten Empfanges leider auch nicht auf Anhieb zum Erfolg führte. Für alle, die Ruhe suchen und ein paar Tage abseits von allem Trubel in der Natur ausspannen und sich erholen möchten, ist diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Absolutely stunning view of the coast and mountains from the house and all around makes staying in this place like a dream. The gardens are beautiful and there are so many places to sit and enjoy the scenery. Rossella gave us all the information we needed to find the house very quickly and everything was ready for us on arrival. Also this house is in a breathtaking part of Sicily with idyllic villages scattered all around nearby.

We really enjoyed the stay at Rosella and Daniels place. We came “out of season” so they had already left the place and we didn’t meet them. However, check-in was easy and Rosella was very responsive in the phone. The place itself is beyond any criticism. It’s a paradise on earth and it’s even more beautiful than you’d expect from the photos. Everything met or even exceeded our expectations. Here you can see what “fully equipped” can mean in the best case. The kitchen had everything you need for all kinds of cooking sessions. The whole place exudes a great style and charm, the garden is huge with many places to hang out and one view on the mountains and the sea is better than the other... The guest room is also comfy, the bathroom is small but perfectly sufficient. You definitely need a car and some ground clearance is advantageous. The next village and the beach are a 15-20 min serpentine ride away. But we didn’t feel like leaving the place to often anyway...

Rossella’s and Daniel’s place can be best summarized as a little corner of heaven. They created the perfect retreat and at the “rango” you’re surrounded by nothing but silence, a beautiful garden and splendid views. Perhaps more important: the hosts are incredibly kind people who truly go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible and they are genuinely interested in their guests. We extensively traveled through Sicily, but never found a place as warm and beautiful as this. I wish we never had to leave :-).

Nous avons passé 9 jours dans un endroit magique. C'est vrai que le chemin n'est pas facile d'accès mais nous avons trouvé assez facilement la maison. Celle ci perchée sur les hauteurs donne une vue exceptionnelle sur les collines boisées et sur la mer. Au calme absolu, sans voisin direct, l'endroit est très propre et de construction assez récente. Un environnement bien fleuri et un jardin entretenu où poussent quelques légumes dont nous pouvions profiter ! Nos hôtes nous ont laissé la maison à notre disposition c était très agréable. Rosella nous a donné de bons conseils afin de profiter au mieux de la région et répondait très rapidement à nos demandes. Encore merci pour ce délicieux séjour.

This house is amazing! My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in November and although it was a bit chilly because of the season, the house was very beautiful. The views are spectacular. The only downfall is that you need to drive on a very steep and unpaved driveway on the edge of a cliff, but if you want to have a reward like this place, you can't be afraid to make the drive. We had a Toyota Yaris and were able to make it. I would feel more comfortable with something a little higher off the ground or with 4 wheel drive but it was fine. Thank you Rosella and Daniel, your place finished our honeymoon on a high note!

First of all: this is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Seriously . The pictures show it but no picture can show how much the place is lovely, secluded, calming and inspiring. It is designed and taken care of perfectly. Rossella and her partner where not there when we were but they were extreamly helpfull and quick to resporesponse alsoresponseal much of the needed information in advance. The only thing to take into consideration if your are not Sicilian or you don't love to drive, is that it can maybe a bit of a hassle for you, as the roads leading to the house are a bit narrow and steep (as the rest of the area is...). We highly recommend this place!

We were looking for a quiet and peaceful spot in Sicily and Rosella's place was perfect. The views from the house and terrace, where we ate breakfast and dinner, were really special. Rosella had everything we needed in the kitchen and was kind enough to let us use the herbs and vegetables in the garden. There are some good walks immediately from the house, and shops are not too far away. Rosella was a great host, sending us information on the house and area well in advance. Thank you Rosella... we really enjoyed your place and would recommend it without hesitation.

We stayed 9 days at Rossella and Daniels beautiful place. The view and the quietness of this place is amazing. The place is perfect for a getaway from the crowd and offers a quiet space for taking it easy and engaging in reading, painting, meditation, or just looking at the sky. The house is situated inside the Madonie national park - and offers nature next door. We went for short walks and found out that we need to be more well prepared regarding trekking routes next time as it for us turned out not just to be a fast and quick solution to surf the Internet for good maps. There is no Internet in the house and if you need it the mobile coverage in the area is fine. We watched the sunsets and stars from the terrace, went swimming at the nearest beach, had afternoon coffee and simple dinner pizzas in the nearest seaside town of Finale. The small villages inside the Madonie park are also beautiful. We had breakfast at the house and had nice and interesting talks with Rossella and Daniel over vegetarian dinners with homegrown organic tomatoes. Total luxury. I can only warmly recommend this beautiful place and the amazing hosts Rossella and Daniel.

Paradise found. First time airbnb. My boyfriend and me had a beautiful time in Rossella and Daniel's place. The view is breathtaking and the place provided all we needed: pureness, tastefulness and the respect and worth of nature. On top of that, Rossella & Daniel were the most wonderful hosts. They are giving in presence and absence, depended on the needs of the guests. For us anyway. We rented a car on arrival and visited places that R & D suggested. They made reservations for us in precisely the right restaurants. They themselves make beautiful food as well, using local recipes to make fresh fish and/or vegetables. All organic products. When we were there is was hot and the sea was gorgeous. We will return

Wir hatten eine traumhafte Woche in der Unterkunft von Rossella und Daniel. Gesucht haben wir eine Unterkunft mit einem weiten Blick abseits der Touristen und haben dort genau das gefunden. Das Haus und der riesige Garten mitten auf einem Hügel sind wunderschön und haben einen sagenhaften Blick auf das Meer und Cefalù. Rossella und Daniel waren perfekte Gastgeber, wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Sie haben für uns sehr lecker sizilianisch gekocht und wir hatten tolle Abende zusammen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Rosella was a great, if absent, host as he responded to emails / texts promptly and had produced detailed instructions on how to find the house (with photos at key junctions) and how to find and use everything in the house which was amazingly well equipped. The track to the house is very rutted and stony the last kilometre so don't take the Porsche or any low slung car, but the view is absolutely breathtaking and the garden is large and well tended. It is a wonderful place to relax as no Wi-Fi but if you must have a fix there is a very nice internet bar in Finale near the supermarket. It's a long way to a restaurant so be prepared to cook but I spotted lots of herbs in the garden to jazz up simple cooking. A beautiful place, enjoy.

Dit was onze eerste ervaring met airbnb. We wilden eens wat anders dan een hotel of appartement. We zochten iets in de buurt van Cefalu en zo kwamen we bij het prachtige Casa Rango van Rosella en Daniel uit. We kunnen Casa Rango van harte aanbevelen! Als je de mooie foto's al indrukwekkend vind wacht maar tot je er daadwerkelijk bent geweest! Voor en tijdens ons verblijf stond Rossella altijd direct voor ons klaar telefonisch of via whatsapp of e-mail. Supervriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam. Als je van rust en stilte en een onvergetelijk uitzicht houdt probeer Casa Rango. Vergeet niet om Cefalu en Castelbuono te bezoeken en ook zeker niet het mooie strand Torra Conca. De laatste km naar Casa Rango is onverhard dit was voor ons wel even wennen maar na een paar dagen lukte dit prima met de huur auto (peugeot 208).
